Opening Sequences and Characters - 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'

The second film I will be looking at which introduces characters is the comedy 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'.

• He is presented as mischievous and disingenuous when he portrays himself as unwell in order to stay home and not attend school
• He is a rebel because he doesn't conform or follow rules
• He comes across as intelligent because he educates us on socialism and fascism
• He is presented as a performer/showman when he sings in the shower and is very confident
